Family Story: At a very young age, my Godmother taught me how to make apple pie. Simple and basic but the delicious, flaky crust and the love she put into it has been with me for years. Over time I have evolved the recipe by adding cranberries, raisins, and adding a little detail to the crust. My memory of her being such a good cook and baker, paying attention to the littlest details, is something that I’ll carry with me always. This is my deep dish apple pie (that serves an army lol)
