These Skinny Banana Pudding Milkshakes Made with Frozen Banana Ice Cream Are PERFECT!
Skinny Banana Pudding Milkshakes have arrived! Banana pudding is a classic flavor that needed a milkshake remix according to my Facebook followers. So I decided to make it in a way that would be incredibly easy to duplicate at home.
Instead of just making this milkshake the traditional way with ice cream and milk, I decided to make it healthy!! A few months ago I started introducing healthier treats and this one will definitely become a favorite.
What Is 1 Ingredient Banana Ice Cream?
These skinny banana pudding milkshakes were inspired by the trendy one ingredient banana ice cream. I think of bananas as nature’s candy. They are naturally incredibly sweet and creamy on their own.
Have you ever added bananas to a smoothie? The effect is sensational. They create a dream like thick texture that makes the smoothie perfectly creamy. Well it does the same as ice cream.
How To Make Banana Ice Cream
Frozen banana ice cream is simply made with frozen banana slices . You add them to a food processor or heavy duty blender, and it let it pulse until it becomes your perfect texture.
One ingredient banana ice cream is soo versatile. You can add additional flavors and ingredients to it to turn it into anything you can dream of. I’ve even made Raspberry Banana Ice Cream, and it is delicious!
To make these banana pudding milkshakes, we add milk, whipped cream, pudding and vanilla. And it tastes just like the real thing especially when made so silky and smooth with a heavy duty blender. You won’t miss the calories of using real dairy ice cream, and it feels just as indulgent!
The only problem you may end up having is an overdose of potassium from having these skinny banana pudding milkshakes several times a week!
Tips for Making Banana Pudding Milkshakes Better
My goal was not only to create a deliciously light banana pudding milkshake here. I wanted to also create something that was easy and quick to make.
Tip 1: To save time, freeze your bananas the night before!
I usually have frozen banana slices in my freezer because I love to add them to smoothies so it helps that whenever I have a craving for this, it is ready to go!
Tip 2: A heavy duty blender or food processor is key!
Don’t try this with a regular blender. It simply won’t work as well. Frozen bananas take a lot to break down so you need a high quality appliance to do so and make the end result completely smooth.
Tip 3: Use a lightened whipped topping!
I believe in making homemade whipped cream whenever I can but when I’m saving time and calories, lightened whipped topping like this one is fine to use in a pinch.
Tip 4: Adjust your milk!
If you love super thick and creamy milkshakes, go lighter on the milk but if you want your milkshake thin, add more milk . You can adjust as you go along! Also feel free to use any milk you like from almond milk to coconut milk.

Are you using just the instant pudding powder or are you making the pudding first and using that?
Nope just add the powder in. Super quick and easy.
I make this shake on a regular basis now….yummy! And it fits into my WW plan with ease. Was thinking about playing around with adding PB Powder….
Do you have to use frozen bananas can you use just regular bananas?
Definitely need them to be frozen to make the milkshake happen.
Nope they dont have to be grozen at all
some pb powder in there would make a nice twist!
I just made the banana pudding shake and i must say it is delicious and the kids and hubbie approved. I made one change, i used sugar free pudding and it’s still delicious!

Hi Sara, I think you must have misinterpreted the text. I mentioned 1 ingredient banana ice cream which is just frozen banana. That’s what is one ingredient so I was perfectly honest in this post. Thanks for this comment.
