Ingredients

  • ½ pound butter 2 sticks
  • ½ cup Crisco
  • 1 cup sweet milk
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 3 cups flour
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients together in stand mixer in order of ingredients.
  • Bake about 60 minutes or a little longer at 325°.
  • For chocolate cake, add 4 Tablespoons cocoa
