- ½ pound butter 2 sticks
- ½ cup Crisco
- 1 cup sweet milk
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 3 cups flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Mix all ingredients together in stand mixer in order of ingredients.
Bake about 60 minutes or a little longer at 325°.
For chocolate cake, add 4 Tablespoons cocoa
