- 2 tablespoons Bacon fat Or olive oil to make Vegan
- 1 pound Okra Sliced
- 1 cup Chopped tomatoes
- 1/3 cup Green onion Sliced
- 1/4 cup Green pepper Chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Parsley flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Granulated sugar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Saute okra in bacon fat for 5 minutes or until the inside is tender and the exterior is crisp. Stir in the remaining ingredients.
Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Taste then season if necessary and serve.
