Ingredients

  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ cup half and half
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • cup crushed fruity pebbles or similar cereal
  • 4 slices Challah
  • 3 tablespoons butter

Instructions

  • In a medium sized bowl, whisk together eggs, half and half, sugar and cinnamon until well combined.
  • On a plate, spread fruity pebbles out evenly.
  • Add butter to a skillet and melt over medium high heat.
  • For assembly, simply dip each bread slice in egg mixture allowing it to absorb for about 20-30 seconds then into pebbles thoroughly coating then add to the skillet. Brown until golden on both sides then serve immediately.

Notes

  • Cool & Store: Allow the French toast to cool completely, then place it in an airtight container. It stays fresh in the fridge for up to 2 days, or in the freezer for a month.
  • Reheat to Eat: When you're ready for a round two, pop it in the toaster or oven until it’s crispy and warmed through. A microwave works too, but be cautious as it might soften the crust.
