Chocolate Chip Cookies- Mrs. Fields Style
Adapted from Top Secret Recipes
Servings 24 cookies
- 1 cup softened unsalted butter 2 sticks
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 3/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 12 ounces semi sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter, sugars, eggs and vanilla
In another bowl, mix together the flour, salt, baking powder and baking soda
Combine the wet and dry ingredients
Stir in the chocolate chips
With your fingers, place golf ball-sized dough sections 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake for 9-10 minutes or just until edges are light brown.
