Equipment

  • Cocktail Shaker

Ingredients

  • 2 oz light rum
  • 2 oz dark rum
  • 2 oz passion fruit juice
  • 1 oz orange juice
  • 1/2 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 tbsp simple syrup
  • 1 tbsp grenadine
  • Garnish: Orange Slice and Cherry

Instructions

  • Shake all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice.
  • Strain into a hurricane glass then garnish with orange slice and cherry and serve.

Notes

Juice the oranges and limes before you start, it makes life easier when everything's prepped and ready to pour. Hurricanes are usually served in those curvy glasses shaped like a lamp. You don't need them, but they're fun and give it that NOLA vibe!
Also, chill your glass in the freezer for a few minutes so it stays cold longer. Nobody wants a warm hurricane, and that frosty glass makes all the difference. Once you're ready, shake it hard, like really hard, to get everything mixed and ice-cold. Don't hold back, boos!
