To celebrate, I am sharing my White Chocolate Mudslides recipe that were part of this feature.

Back in August, we had the photoshoot for the feature in the suburbs of Chicago and had a blast.ย ย  It is so amazing to see how much goes into making a professional magazine shoot perfection.ย  Prior to the shoot, I worked with the editors for a month on inspiration, ideas, recipes, casting, and so much more.ย  Once we got to the shoot, it was great to see it all come together, starting with some good hair and makeup (yep it takes a lot to get photo ready).

A few of my gal pals like my dear friends Alice of Hip Foodie Mom blog and Kim who is an editor for Huffington Post were ready to have some fun!

We shot at the most gorgeous house ever.ย  That’s my mom sitting below on the phone working being the best assistant/stylist ever.ย  She is every bit as important to the Grandbaby Cakes machine (I just made that up) as I am.ย  So grateful for her!

Here I am ready to get on set and shoot!ย  And yes, I did eat cookies while we shot.ย  It was a cookie swap story afterall.ย  You can also see all the wardrobe choices shattered everywhere.

After we shot several different scenes, the team wrapped!ย  I have to say that the BHG team was absolutely incredible, so professional and such a joy to work with.ย  This was one of the best experiences of my life!ย  I am so blessed I had the opportunity to work with them.

I am beyond grateful that I had my friends take part in the magic of that day. My pals Kim, Micaela (host of the Chicago Sun-Times show Minority Report), Alice, Soo (marketing director) and Kit (food blog writer of The Kittchen) were the best group possible to pull this shoot together.ย  We had a blast, and it definitely shows in the story.ย  Make sure you pick up a copy today!

WHITE CHOCOLATE MUDSLIDES

Now back to these mudslides.ย  These are perfection and oh so simple to make.ย  That’s why I think they are the perfect drink for a cookie swap with your best girlfriends.ย  It is dainty when served in martini glasses but down home and cute when served in mugs like the ones I have below.

I added a fun twist by adding some melted white chocolate to the mixture.ย  These taste like a glorified milkshake, the best one you will ever have.ย  We drank quite a few of these on set.ย  I wish I was exaggerating but I’m not.ย  We loved these!ย  And you will too.ย  Check out the recipe below and check out the cookie recipes featured in the swap spread HERE at BHG.com.
