This milkshake had a makeover! This Skinny Chocolate Milkshake is just what you need without the guilt. If you love this, you will also love this Mug Brownie Cake that’s lightened up!
I fell in love with this skinny chocolate shake. It made me totally change my perspective on something that I adore having as an indulgence.
When I was young, I lived on milkshakes. They made me happy like rainbows and toys do. There is just something so magical about ice cream in drinkable form. That’s pretty much what a milkshake is right? Add different flavors like strawberry or the glorious chocolate, and you have a match made in tummy heaven.
When I started eating 85% paleo (more on that in this post), I gotta tell you that I missed sweets. Who wouldn’t? I am pretty much an all or nothing person so I do try my very best to stick to the rules except on cheat days. The reality is finding treats that are also remotely good for you are incredibly hard. This skinny chocolate milkshake falls into the treats that will be in my rotation weekly.
It has 4 ingredients starting with the most important ingredient: frozen banana. We all know about the frozen banana ice cream trick. Well it works so well in this recipe. I have also used it before in another fave skinny shake of mine which you can find here. Frozen bananas give this milkshake its natural sweetness and its creamy thickness. For the liquid, I used coconut milk. Its also thick and can make this drink vegan and paleo for all of those avoiding dairy. Lastly a good quality chocolate powder and vanilla extract make this shake absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a treat without the guilt, my friends, you have found it.

I’ve tried banana ice cream, but it is so genius to make bananas into a milkshake! The calories in regular milkshakes are CRAZY, but this looks just as tasty!
Love this recipe, healthy & easy!
Thank you so much!
Love a good skinny chocolate milkshake! Looks to die for!
I can’t have banana. ..too much potassium. …is there anything to substitute?
For this milkshake there isn’t a sub because the main ingredient is banana but I have seen some great recipes with yogurt or even avocado that would be great to try!
