BUTTER COOKIES AS GIFTS
Holiday baking is my favorite hobby. Beyond creating treats for you, my wonderful readers,
I adore entertaining and giving wonderful homemade gifts to family and friends for Christmas. It speaks more than words could ever say. My favorite homemade gift to give is cookies, especially these remarkable eggnog iced butter cookies.
EGGNOG ICED BUTTER COOKIES
I grew up on butter cookies, and they are my all time favorite cookie though chocolate chip is a super close second place. So I decided to throw a fun Holiday party featuring Land O’ Lakes butter sticks in my awesome soft butter cookie recipe with a holiday twist: Eggnog Iced Butter Cookies.
HOW TO MAKE BUTTER COOKIES
As a child, butter cookies could be found at home and at school in my elementary’s school’s lunchroom. The key to any butter cookie including these Eggnog Iced Butter Cookies is to refrigerate your cookie dough before you start baking. These cookies are soft and chewy with the lovely flavor of butter which makes them irresistible. Then I took them a step farther with a simple drizzled eggnog icing with sprinkles. How festive do these look?
These were a hit at my party. In fact, check out this fun prep video of my party HERE.
Try these for your upcoming cookie swap or leave them under the tree for Santa. He might leave you an extra gift or two.
