Oreo Milkshake

My only rule for healthy recipes is it has to tastes like it’s not. This Oreo Milkshake understands the assignment. I keep it smooth and creamy without ice cream by using frozen banana. So we lighten things up but it still tastes indulgent which I love. Get into it.

Ingredient Notes

  • Banana: Make sure these are ripe and super frozen solid.
  • Greek yogurt: Plain or vanilla flavored works best.
  • Milk: Feel free to use any lighter milk you like.
  • Oreos: I use the traditional chocolate ones but golden or even any cookie you want works here.

How to Make an Oreo Milkshake

You blend together the ingredients above (adding an optional sweetener) until completely smooth. Add a couple of Oreo cookies to your mix and blend, and that’s it! You can add a garnish of an Oreo cookie on top if you wish.

Equipment

Ingredients

  • 2 bananas frozen and sliced
  • 1/2- 3/4 cup vanilla greek yogurt
  • 3/4-1 cup milk I always use coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon sweetener optional
  • 2-4 Oreo cookies or other chocolate sandwich cookies plus more crumbles to garnish the top

Instructions

  • Blend frozen banana, yogurt, milk and sweetener to your blender and blend until smooth.
  • Lastly add in Oreos and blend for a few seconds until it is chopped and mixed through.
  • Pour mixture in glasses, garnish with cookie crumbles and serve.

Notes

Perfect Your Consistency: To achieve that dreamy, creamy texture, make sure your banana is fully frozen before blending. If your milkshake turns out too thick, you can gradually add a splash of milk at a time until you reach your desired consistency. On the flip side, if it’s too thin, add a bit more frozen banana or a few ice cubes and blend again.
