I can’t even lie. I make my maple glazed salmon recipe at least once a week. It comes together in minutes but that flavor is popping like it came from a restaurant. It’s got a little sweet, a little heat and the salmon stays super moist. Serve it on a bed of rice with garlic green beans and get your whole life.

How to Make Maple Glazed Salmon

Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F. Whisk the glaze ingredients together and set aside. Pat salmon dry, season with salt and pepper. Mix remaining spices and sprinkle over salmon, pressing lightly. Place salmon on greased foil, spoon glaze on top, and fold foil sides over.

Step 2: Fold the sides of the foil up to completely enclose the salmon. If you need more foil, just layer over the top and close.

Step 3: Bake for about 14-15 minutes or until salmon is almost done cooking. Remove salmon from the oven. Change your setting to broil, uncover the foil and place salmon under the broiler for about 2 minutes or until golden then remove from oven.

Notes
How to Store
Cooked salmon can be stored in the fridge for 3-4 days or in the freezer for up to 4 months if stored properly. Fish is quite delicate and finicky, so we’ve got to be a bit careful when reheating. Using the microwave will not only stink up your space but it will also dry out your fish. Same goes for throwing it in a skillet. Instead, put your salmon on a bit of foil and reheat it at 350 in a conventional oven. Or if you want, use leftover salmon to make Salmon Cakes.Nutrition
Recipe Tips
- Use non-stick or greased foil: Salmon has a nasty habit of sticking to any surface that it’s being cooked on. The crispy underside of the fillet is the best part of this dish, so let’s not lose it. Fold the sides of the foil to enclose the salmon.
- Don’t Overcook: Salmon changes from translucent to an opaque pink while it’s cooking. If the meat is beginning to flake but is still a bit translucent in the middle, it’s done. Feel free to stick your fillet back in the oven if it’s not there yet!
- Nothing artificial: You must use pure maple syrup for this maple syrup glazed salmon recipe. The artificial kind won’t give you quality results.

Very flavorful, quick and easy! Served with briown rice, sautéed spinach and a drizzle of reduced glaze since I had some left over.
This is super easy and incredible! So much flavor and so healthy!
I’m not a cook but I want to try the maple glazed salmon recipe. I hope I don’t burn the house down.
Should the filets be skinned?
No need to skin them. But that is totally up to you. Also this recipe is super simple so you will not mess it up haha.
Hi Joycelyn, Can you tell us what maple syrup you use? Also, I bought frozen salmon filets from Costco. Any advice on how to prep them to make your recipe? I’m new to cooking salmon so I appreciate any advice!
You can unthaw them before cooking. I also used pure maple syrup B.
