A smooth and easy fig mojito is perfect for enjoying this sensational fig season. Add a twist to the traditional cocktail for good measure.
Ingredients
- Figs: These luscious fruits are the twist that’ll make your mojito pop with a sweet and sultry note.
- Maple Syrup: Drizzle in some of this golden nectar for a smooth sweetness that complements the figs like a dream.
- Mint Sprigs: Freshness alert! Mint is the heart of any mojito, giving that refreshing kick we all crave.
- Light Rum: Ahoy there! Light rum keeps things spirited without overpowering – it’s the smooth sailing your mojito needs.
- Fresh Lime Juice: Pucker up for a citrus zing that cuts through the sweetness and balances your beverage to perfection.
- Granulated Sugar: This sweet staple dissolves into the mix, adding just the right touch of sweetness.
- Club Soda: The fizzy finisher that adds a bubbly personality to your mojito mix.
- Garnish: Lime slices and extra mint sprigs are the crowning glory for the eye and the palette, making every sip a celebration.
How to Make a Fig Mojito
- Remove insides of figs from shell and place in two separate glasses.
- Add 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and 5 mint sprigs to each glass and muddle (or mash) together using a fork.
- Next add half of rum, lime juice and sugar to each glass.
- Fill rest of glasses with ice and club soda.
- Garnish each with a slice of lime and a sprig of mint if desired and serve.
I know quite a bit about figs. My big mama has the most luscious fig tree in her backyard in Mississippi so I adore whenever I can get my hands on some. Since fig season ends so soon, I thought that a mojito celebrating the season with the flavors of maple to highlight fall would be lovely. And I was right.
How to Store
A fig mojito is best enjoyed fresh, but if you need to store it, keep the mixture without the ice in the refrigerator for up to a day. Add ice and club soda just before serving to keep the fizz alive and the flavors vibrant.

I love figs so much but I was just not able to get my hands on any this season. 🙁 If I happen to stumble across any (maybe it’s not too late?) I will be sure to mix up this cocktail! Love that it’s sweetened with maple; such a perfect drink to bridge the seasons!
