Million Dollar Dip Ingredient Notes
- Cream Cheese: Go for full-fat cream cheese to get the best texture. If you wanna lighten it up, use low-fat or whipped cream cheese.
- Mayonnaise: I use avocado oil mayo. Greek yogurt is also a great sub.
- Almonds: If almonds aren’t your thing, try chopped pecans, walnuts, or even sunflower seeds instead.
- Sharp Cheddar Cheese: Freshly shredded sharp cheddar is the way to go. Pre-shredded cheese has anti-caking agents and just doesn’t melt the same.
- Garlic Powder: I don’t recommend using fresh here. Swap the garlic powder with a pinch of ranch seasoning or Italian seasoning.

Equipment
Ingredients
- 8 ounces cream cheese softened
- ¾ cup mayonnaise
- 1 ½ cup sharp cheddar shredded
- ½ cup slivered almonds toasted , chopped finely
- 6 slices cooked bacon
- 1/3 cup minced green onion about 4-5 stalks, 1 tablespoon reserved
- 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon cayenne
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine all ingredients and stir together until evenly mixed.
- Scoop it into a serving bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least one hour. When ready to serve, garnish with reserved green onion. Serve with crackers, pretzels, and/or raw vegetables.
Notes
- Use Freshly Shredded Cheese: Skip the pre-shredded bagged cheese, boos. It’s coated with anti-caking ingredients that mess with the flavor and texture. So grab a block of sharp cheddar and shred it yourself!
- Soften the Cream Cheese: Room temp cream cheese mixes up like a dream. If you forgot to soften it, just pop it in the microwave for 10-second bursts until it’s soft but not melty.
- Toast Your Almonds Right: To easily toast slivered almonds, spread them in a single layer on a dry skillet over medium heat. Stir often, and once they turn golden and smell nutty, they’re ready. Don’t walk away from the skillet tho! They can go from toasty to burnt real quick.
- Chill for Full Flavor: Don’t skip the chill time! Letting the dip sit in the fridge for at least an hour lets all those flavors marry together.
How to store Million Dollar Dip
Scoop any leftovers into an airtight container and pop it in the fridge. Make sure it’s sealed up tight! How long will Million Dollar Dip last in the fridge?
This dip will stay fresh and fabulous in the fridge for up to 3 days. Pro tip: give it a good stir before serving again to keep everything creamy and evenly mixed. Can I freeze million dollar dip with cream cheese?
I wouldn’t freeze it, boos. Cream cheese and mayo don’t love the freezer life, they get all weird and grainy. This dip deserves better than that! So keep it in the fridge.Nutrition

This dip set it off at my Super Bowl gathering. The toasted almonds added a crunch and texture, making these perfect for crackers. The savoriness of the bacon was also a great complement. Outstanding dip. Thanks for sharing.
